Open House
Students spend time each week at our in-town schoolhouse, located right on the Rail Trail. Pockets of nature surround our school building and are within walking distance for our classes. The ideal location of our schoolhouse allows RVNS students to visit many places to learn, including the public library, downtown Lewisburg, and the grocery store. Learning happens everywhere at RVNS through hands-on, real-life opportunities.

Visit Our Woods Location
All RVNS classes spend 1 to 3 days a week at our woods location at Catbird Farm, located 10 minutes west of our schoolhouse. Catbird Farm is a 20-acre former tree farm that consists of wooded trails, a pond, and a small stream. Students enjoy learning and playing in nature at Catbird Farm, where they have the freedom to engage with and manipulate their environment. Spending time in the woods gives students the opportunity to learn about and connect with the natural world.
